Yahoo Messenger is offering a lot of menu choyces, one of that being the “invisible” status option. Who hasn’u used it so far? We all did. Sometimes we just don’t wanna be disturbed by certain persons in our list, or we want to have a quite conversation with only one of our buddies. This can turn into a disadvantage when we try to reach someone and that someone doesn’t want us to do so.  Maybe someone is upset with you, or has some money to give you back that he doesn’t have. Then you most likely get an “ignore”, meanin you will allways see him as offline, until he decides to change that.

Remember, these applications can be blocked if the user has chosen “Don’t show my status to Yahoo! web sites”, but you will rarely find this kind of users. In this case try inviting the offline contact to a voice chat or conference, if they really are offline you will get an error message, if they are online then you have to wait for their confirmation to participate, therefore the error message will not be displayed.
